    Steve,

I am writing you this letter to thank you and your staff for working with me on the design of my new 18 degree conventional headed 565 cubic inch nitrous feed motor. I am currently running the heads-up class of drag radial in the outlaw series of ORSCA which promote Outlaw racing of every type. This series allows the use of all power adders that can be put to an engine, such as Turbo's, Pro-Charger, all the way to fully blown alcohol motors. After working with you and your staff on the development of my nitrous motor I have been very pleased with the result of your hard work in making my combination produce the reliability round after round and the extreme amount of horsepower and torque produced. With the power that you produced I haven't had any issues going against the turbos or other power adder types used.

I race a 95 Chevy Camaro with stock bolt-on type suspension which only allows the use of drag radial tires which is limited to a 325/50/15 tire size, we went the ORSCA world final in Oct 2005 and weighed in @ 3713 lbs and was the heaviest car in the class of field of 20+ cars . After qualifying for position we ended up the Number 1 qualifier timing in at 5.29 seconds in the 1/8 mile with a 1.24 60ft, we were seven thousandths behind the class record our first time out at this event. I have been to several races since purchasing this engine and have won and finished in the top four many times and have qualified no lower than 8 place the entire race season. I really appreciate the efforts and help that you and all the staff at Steve Schmidt Racing have provided. We are now working on a new car to reduce the weight and look forward to Steve Schmidt HORSEPOWER to put us in the winners circle more often.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a new racing engine or combination for true HORSEPOWER and TORQUE to call and purchase a racing engine from Steve Schmidt Competition Engines (SSCE). I again would like to thank the SSCE staff.

    Sincerely,

    Walter Wilhelm

    '32 FORD 3-WINDOW COUPE - SUPER DOOR

Here are a few pictures of the year's accomplishments. In March 2003 we had the AutoRama come to town which is our largest car show. The car not only took first place in Pro Street class but it also got an award from Super Rod of the nicest pre 48 car that is a TRUE street driver (no trailer queen!).

Then in April, racing started which for the first time I qualified and was able to run in Super Door class, this is a class for the quickest 16 door cars with a minimum 9.50 ET. Well I've waited until the end of the year to tell you (because it was so close) that I am officially the 2003 SUPER DOOR CHAMPION! So on top of the Snap-On Toolbox, a Championship Jacket and a NHRA Plaque, I get bragging rights next year!

On top of winning Super Door, I also broke the track record of 8.993 with a 8.973 and a backup one week later of 8.978! Not too bad for a 3,300 lb. car.

Steve thanks for everything, I've had a blast this year.

We did it!!! We are the 2008 True Street Drag Racing Association's 2008 Champions!!! Thank you so much Steve and the guys for not only a Championship, but also for a motor that did everything that I asked for it to do, which made it easier to get our stock suspension/limited tire 29.5" x 10.5" (non-W) 81 Camaro Z28 to run right at our 8.20 cap with ease every race consistently, with absolutely no problems!!! We race up at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin, but you're best to find us at www.truestreetdragracing.com.
