Thanks again Steve. I run a 63 vette in A/gas 7.6 index on the west coast.I have been running these engines since 04. Since then I have captured 4 A/G titles. I am racing with top competitors in my field.I can run this engine round after round with no issues and complete consistency. I watch all my competition sweat and work on their cars while I sit in my lawnchair! I finished my season with another championship and won the California Hot Rod Reunion. Hi Kennie and all the team at SSRE,
Well, I knew Steve Schmidt has a reputation for building great race motors ....but I never really knew just how good!
The car's debut was nothing short of perfect...an absolutely stunning car that performs as well as it looks.
Every time the car came out, the crowds and the media flocked to the staging lanes and to the startline.... and they weren't disappointed as the car set a new Track ET & Speed Record and went well under the National ET & Speed Record for it's class. I'm running the car a little lazy. Once I get a bit more confident with setting up the car, a 6 sec pass @ 200+mph isn't far away.
Thanks to you all at SSRE for putting such a tough engine together, and for putting up with my endless emails....speaking of which...you'll be receiving an email from my crew chief, Andrew Johnston, asking for some advice on the engine settings.
