Team Schmidt - Bob Bailey

Bob Bailey does it again! On June 1st Bob Bailey made a historic run with his Steve Schmidt powered A/ED Comp Eliminator race car. Bob ran 6.68 ET @ 201.19 MPH with his 460 cu .in. single carbureted / powerglide dragster becoming the 1st single carburetor powered race car to run in the 6.60's in NHRA competition. Bob also was the first single carbureted / powerglide car to run over 200 MPH and at Joliet he became the first car to run over 201 MPH.

One carburetor, powerglide transmission, 460 cu.in with racing gasoline ( NO NITROUS! ) and Bob runs 6.68 seconds at 201.19 miles per hour. We can only think of one word, AWESOME!
