The cylinder head specialist at Steve Schmidt Racing have worked all summer to develop 2 new versions of
our 12° Pro-Filer cylinder heads, as a result of Pro Stock R&D program. We have developed a totally new cast-
ing with a new intake port and exhaust port that has shown a 20 + horsepower improvement over our present
12° head. We have also developed a new Nitrous Version.
This new cylinder head uses a 2.400 intake valve, 1.880 exhaust and has tremendous intake flow with the
correct swirl pattern at every valve lift. The exhaust port is a new design that is smaller, flows better and is
balanced correctly to the intake port cross section. We have developed 3 new ports, (500-585 cu.in.), (600-
650 cu.in.) and a nitrous version. The exhaust side of the head is often overlooked but is very important to a
broad torque curve and obtaining the most out of the induction system. Remember, if you are going to eat you
have to S___!, well you get the idea. The chamber in this new head with it's dynamic fast burn characteristics
are so efficent that you may have to only run 26° - 27° of timing.

These heads have a 4.900 bore spacing for DRCE II blocks and have a 12° valve angle. They come with SSRE
proprietary port work and valve job and are assembled with titanium valves,
SSRE Comp springs, 10° titanium retainers and locks. With Pro Stock
